How to Create The Life You Want

You may be like most people who want a different life from the one that they currently have, but you don’t know how to create the life you want. Even when some venture out to start down the path of creating the life that they want, if something goes wrong, they give up and retreat to their comfort zone. The problem is that people typically choose to stay in their comfort zones and complain about how unfair life is.

 

I am on my own journey of creating the exact life that I want for myself. I have been on this journey for over 10 years now. As you begin or continue on your journey, it is important for you to know that the things you want will change as you grow and change.

 

How to Create The Life You Want

 

There is only one way to create the life you want. That way is by making small, consistent changes. Life is not about making huge overhauls. Instead, it is about taking things day by day. Making one decision to take a step toward the things you want. For example, I decided that I wanted to lose weight. I calculated that I needed to lose at least 80 pounds to be the weight I was when I got married 7 years ago. 80 sounded like such a huge number, and it would be a long time before I hit that goal. So, I broke my goal down into 10 pound increments. Because I never had to diet before, I decided not to beat myself up. I started cooking healthier meals and snacking less, but on those days that I just wanted cake, ice cream, pizza, or cookies, I allowed myself to indulge. After a while, I ate less of the junk, because I didn’t feel restricted. I made even more and healthier choices. It has been a slow process, but I have lost 47 pounds so far.

 

Whatever it is that you want to change in your own life, you absolutely can. All you have to do is make a series of decisions that lead you to your goals.
