Social media is a major tool that entrepreneurs use every single day. As the boss of a new business, you usually work alone, and the extent of your reach to consumers is limited. Though it is a challenge to handle the behind-the-scenes operations and the front end relations simultaneously, it is definitely a necessity.
One of the main ways to increase your reach to potential clients/customers, even before you begin to spend money on advertisements, is to use social media sites.
Your potential customers are most likely on somewhere on a social outlet. Depending on what your niche is, there are specific social sites where your customers spend their free time hanging out. Social media is a major part of your business, whether it is online or offline, and if you don’t utilize it properly, you will be missing out on potentially half or more of your customers and sales.
Over 1.7 billion people are on social media sites. Your customer base is somewhere in that number just waiting for your content, products, services, etc to surface in their feeds. Even brick and mortar businesses have a presence on social media, because it is essential to staying connected with people already love their products and services, and to connect with new customers.
Content, products, deals, and information are constantly being shared on social media sites every day. If you want your business to grow, you have to be sure to create content that is sharable as well. In another post, I will share how to create sharable and clickable content.
