Depending on your business’ niche, you should be using very specific social media sites to reach your clients and customers. Of course, we all have our favorite sites that we use, but we sometimes need to embrace other social media sites. So which social media sites should you be using? Check out the list below.
If you are into blogging, depending on the type of blog, you might want to use a couple of different social media sites, but for the most part, bloggers use the following social media sites the most:
Most musicians take to Twitter, because it is a great place to share links to videos and downloads several times per day without the same people seeing them twice. Musicians also use Facebook to connect with their fans and share more lengthy information. Other sites that are useful are Instagram, Soundcloud, and YouTube. Instagram, in this instance, is more for image, rather than the music. Musicians want to be recognized, but mostly heard, which is why social media sites that allow them to be seen in motion are best!
Fashion blogs and sites consist of a lot of photos, so these businesses would benefit more from using Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest. The most popular sites like Twitter and Facebook can also be used, but the people interested in seeing pictures will most likely be on the other sites and apps.
We’ve seen a lot of shortened cooking videos surfacing on Facebook lately. Those are genius! But the full videos are found on YouTube or Vimeo. Also, those money shots are great for Instagram and Tumblr! If there is a blog that goes with the videos and photos, of course Twitter would be the perfect place to share those links.
Arts & Crafts
Once again, anything that is heavy in photos, I would suggest you use Instagram, Tumblr, and Facebook to share. Arts and crafts make for great DIY videos and photos. Videos most likely should be uploaded via YouTube.
Of course, there are many more niches out there, but they all fall under the categories of information, photos, or videos. Which ever way you choose to present your content, there is a social media site and an audience for you!
Tell me, what is your niche? Which sites are you currently using?
