If you’re anything like myself, you might enjoy knowing of as many natural remedies as possible to relieve stress, pain, and ailments. I absolutely HATE taking medications, and I avoid doing so whenever possible.
Everyday life brings about stressors that are sometimes out of our control, but we always have a say in what happens next. Below are 8 natural ways to relieve stress.
7 NATURAL WAYS TO RELIEVE STRESS
1. EXERCISE. It has been scientifically proven that when a person exercises, the body releases endorphins, which relieves the body of stress and brings about happier feelings.
2. SPEND TIME IN NATURE. Nature has been known to reset a person’s energy. The fresh oxygen and the calmness of the trees settles you down.
3. GET ENOUGH SLEEP. Sleep is important. When you get enough sleep, you are less likely to be irritable, fatigued throughout the day, and more energized.
4. USE A JOURNAL. Journaling allows you to release your troubling thoughts onto paper and move on from them. Journaling also helps you to see what might be the cause of your stress, and with some critical thinking, you may even be able to problem solve.
5. TAKE A SOOTHING BATH. A bath with epsom salt can relax your muscles, and ease your body and your mind. This advice gave me an instructor from one of the famous wellness centres in Thailand, while I was on summer vacation in the most beautiful Koh Samui villa I’ve ever stayed.
6. LISTEN TO RELAXING MUSIC. According to research studies, some music contain healing properties. You can make a playlist and listen until you feel better.
7. MEDITATE. Sometimes, sitting in purposeful silence is more than enough to reset your energy, ease your mind, and make your body feel relaxed.
There you have it. Hopefully, you will take the time to relieve stress in a more natural way. Instead of quickly popping a pill to get fast results, you may want to get to the root of the stressor and relieve it in a healthier manner.
