I am going to just assume that you have already heard of the saying “Faith and fear cannot coexist.” Just in case you haven’t heard it by some chance, it means that you have to choose one or the other. You can’t be fearful and be faithful at the same time. It just doesn’t make sense, and it doesn’t work. It’s impossible, in fact. I know that many people, myself included, have said time and time again that nothing is impossible, but this actually is the exception to the rule.

Are You Living In Fear Or In Faith?

Many of our parents and the people around us have, mostly in an attempt to keep us safe and grounded, implanted some beliefs into our minds that have caused us to be fearful of some things. Granted, those things may have kept us alive when we were kids, but as adults those beliefs hold us back from stepping out on faith and going for what we really want in life.

If you feel bitter, left behind, frustrated, etc. when it comes to the progress you have made in life, trust me, I get it. I was there too. I used to think, if only so-and-so hadn’t done xyz, I would totally be in a better place. While you may think that, you are right where you are supposed to be. Everything happened the way it did, because that is what was meant to happen. Besides, whether or not someone or something interfered with your life goals is irrelevant right now. At this point in your life, whatever happened to throw you off track is in the past, and you can’t change that.

The past is gone. All you can do is focus on what is and how you can make changes moving forward. You have always had the power to create the life you want to live, but you didn’t always know that. I’m telling you now that you do, so there is no excuse for not taking control of your own life.

FEAR OR FAITH?

It is time for you to choose. Will you operate in fear or in faith? I think it is my responsibility to tell you that fear only comes from a place of ignorance. I don’t mean that in a derogatory way. I mean ignorance by its actual definition (lack of knowledge). See, when you don’t about know something, it is really easy to be afraid of it. If you can’t see in the dark, you get really scared to move forward in it.

Faith is the total opposite of fear. When you operate in faith, you don’t worry about what will happen or what is in front of you, because you have the end goal in mind, and you trust that whatever happens, you will end up right where you want to be. I don’t know about you, but that seems like the better way to live a happy life.

Follow these steps to shed fear and move forward in faith.

1    Let go of everything that is in the past. It is out of your control.

2    Decide what you want now.

3    Believe that you WILL have what you want…no ifs, ands, or buts.

4    Put your time and energy into getting that.

5   Don’t stop pursuing what you want, until you have achieved it.
