Many people have asked me, especially over the course of the last few months, how I lost so much weight. By the way, the last time I checked, I was down 59 lbs. I have freely told each person who has asked about my weight loss journey, but I don’t think anyone has believed me. I know that we live in a world where people claim to pop pills and lose weight, get bigger butts, and more, but true results come from within.
The truth is that I lost the first 50 lbs without dieting or exercising. I was able to achieve that weight loss result, because I wanted it to happen that way, and I believed that it could happen. One of the main things I did to help me to achieve my weight loss goals was to write. If you want to learn how to write your way to weight loss, keep reading.
Write Your Way to Weight Loss
I believe in speaking things into existence. What you think and say is or will eventually be true. This is true whether what you say or think is positive or negative. So, if you have that kind of power, why would you speak anything less than positive into your experience? I don’t know why either.
I started writing things like:
- I am losing weight every day.
- I feel lighter on my feet.
- I am 10 lbs lighter than I was last month.
- I am healthy.
- I feel good about myself.
- My arms are slimmer.
- My belly is flat.
- My thighs are 5 inches slimmer.
All of these things made me feel better, and they were a major change from the things that I used to say/think which sounded like:
- I gain weight just smelling something sweet.
- I don’t feel attractive.
- I’m too fat.
- I don’t want to go out, because I feel disgusting.
- I don’t like myself at this size.
Do you see the difference in the things that I told myself? One list is extremely negative and made me feel terrible. The other list is full of positive and hopeful things that made me feel great, even though I hadn’t yet seen the results. The truth for both lists is that the things I thought/said to myself eventually became my reality. I enjoy living this positive reality much more than the negative reality that I was living before.
In order to write your way to weight loss, all you have to do is write positive things about yourself, regarding your physical appearance. Then, you have to believe that this will come to be true. Love yourself where you are now, and accept that your body is already changing to physically show you what you have spiritually created. It’s that simple. Much easier than trying to force yourself to diet and exercise daily.

However, if what you want is to stick to a diet and exercise plan, write that down. Your body will change as a result of what you do just as much as what you think.
If what you want is to not have to diet and exercise to lose weight, do what I did.
If you just want to make healthier choices in your life, write that down. You’re getting the hang of this. Right?
As always, I would love to know how you’re doing on your journey. Please share your results with me, in the comments, or you can hit me up on Instagram.
